This transparent dressing helps protect catheter sites by acting as a protective barrier to germs and contaminants. In doing so, it helps reduce the risk of infection at the site. The dressing is bordered, notched, and reinforced with soft cloth tape to provide a better seal around catheters

Intended Use

The single use adhesive, polyurethane film dressing is a water & bacteria (non-antibacterial) proof film dressing, used to protect and reduce the risk of infection at the applied wound area for minor wounds, such as cuts, grazes and stitches. It may also be used to secure other devices such as vascular catheters, infusion ports or tubing

Application of dressing:

1. Wash hands before applying the dressing.

2. Clean and dry the area and surrounding skin gently.

Use of ointments, creams, or lotions may significantly reduce adhesion to skin surface

3. Remove dressing from pouch and apply dressing to catheter site

4. After dressing has been applied, apply the sterile tape strip(s) to further secure I.V. tubing or to stabilize catheter. Refer to figures on packaging

Removing the dressing:

5. As this is an adhesive product, carefully remove the dressing, especially if your skin is sensitive. Gently lift one corner and stretch the clear film outwards. Continue stretching around the dressing until it is removed.
